O ENCONTRO LATINOAMERICANO DE EDIFICAÇÕES E COMUNIDADES SUSTENTÁVEIS desenvolve em 2013 o tema "REPENSAR A CIDADE EXISTENTE". Nesta realização também estará inovando em vários aspectos: (i) mais interação para que as longas viagens valham a pena; (ii) adoção do formato vídeo - mais acessível a todos; (iii) abertura dos conteúdos para a comunidade e (iv) discussão de Curitiba, cidade modelo em reconsideração.
